JULY 21, 2024 - - - The Mars Racing team and driver Sammy Mars invaded both Gondik Law Speedway in Superior, Wisconsin and Cedar Lake Speedway in New Richmond, Wisconsin over the July 19-20 weekend for WISSOTA Challenge Series (WCS) showdowns. On Friday night in the ‘Twin Ports Twin 25s’ at Superior, Sammy timed in fifth quickest in his group during qualifying prior to placing sixth in both his heat race and his B-Main. Unfortunately, Sammy was unable to make the start in the Twin 25s, which each carried a $2,500 top prize.

At Cedar Lake on Saturday evening, things went much better for the #28 team and Sammy picked up his fifth feature win of the 2024 campaign! After laying down the second fastest time in his group during qualifying, Sammy won his heat race in preliminary action. The Menomonie, Wisconsin ace then started the A-Main from the outside of the front row and led on two different occasions (laps 1, 33-40). At the checkers, Sammy was celebrating a $5,000 triumph ahead of runner-up Dan Bargender, A.J. Diemel, Ashley Anderson, and Darrell Nelson!
