JUNE 16, 2024 - - - Sammy Mars, of Menomonie, Wisconsin, recorded his fourth Late Model win of 2024 on Thursday night, June 13 at the renowned Cedar Lake Speedway in New Richmond, Wisconsin! On night one of the ‘Masters’ weekend, Sammy won his heat race in preliminary action and later started the 35-lap feature event from the outside of the front row. He then took control of the A-Main on the eleventh circuit and never looked back en route to capturing the $3,000 first place prize money. He beat a top five that included runner-up Kevin Burdick, Cole Searing, Nick Panitzke, and A.J. Diemel!
On Friday evening, Sammy and the #28 team vied for the $5,000 payday in the second night of the ‘Masters’ tripleheader. Unfortunately, Sammy missed out on the 40-lap headliner after running fourth in his heat race and third in his B-Main. Saturday’s $12,000 to win weekend finale at Cedar Lake Speedway then succumbed to inclement weather and was washed out.
