AUGUST 25, 2024 - - - Following a weekend of nothing but rain, the #28 team headed to Gondik Law Speedway in Superior, Wisconsin and Cedar Lake Speedway in New Richmond, Wisconsin on August 23-24 for a pair of weekly $1,500 to win Late Model programs. On Friday night at Superior, Sammy Mars picked up a spot during his heat race to finish third and later started the 30-lap main event from the outside of the fourth row. Sammy then strolled past a trio of racecars during the headliner en route to a fifth place performance behind only victor Pat Doar, Shane Sabraski, Kevin Burdick, and Darrell Nelson.
At Cedar Lake on Saturday evening, Sammy went from sixth-to-fourth in his heat race and did the same exact thing in the 25-lap feature to place fourth at the checkers behind only $1,500 victor A.J. Diemel, John Kaanta, and Chad Mahder. The strong finish last night at CLS clinched Sammy the 2024 Late Model Track Championship at the renowned facility!
