JUNE 14, 2026 - - - The #28 team took part in the 27th Annual ‘Masters’ weekend at Cedar Lake Speedway in New Richmond, Wisconsin from June 11-13. With Thursday’s $3,000 to win opener wiped out by inclement weather, all eyes in the pit area turned to Friday with a $5,000 top prize on the line. Sam Mars won his heat race in preliminary action to earn the pole position for the 40-lap main event. After Mother Nature pushed the feature to Saturday afternoon, Sam slipped back to a ninth place performance in the contest.
Later that evening, a $12,000 winner’s check was up for grabs in the ‘Masters’ grand finale. Sammy unfortunately could not gain access into the 50-lapper after placing sixth in his heat race and seventh in his B-Main.
