MAY 12, 2024 - - - The 2024 Structural Buildings WISSOTA Challenge Series schedule kicked off on May 10-11 with a pair of $3,000 to win battles in the state of Minnesota.  On Friday night at I-94 EMR Speedway in Fergus Falls, Minnesota, Sammy Mars laid down the quickest lap in his group during qualifying before advancing to second in his heat race.  After starting the 40-lapper from the pole position and leading the first six circuits, Sammy threw a daring slider for the win on the final lap before ultimately recording a close runner-up performance behind only victor Cole Searing!

The dirt-slinging action then quickly shifted to Viking Speedway in Alexandria, Minnesota on Saturday evening as another $3,000 paycheck was up for grabs.  Sammy earned Fast Time honors during the qualifying session prior to securing a victory in his heat race.  After once again starting the 30-lap main event from the pole position, the Menomonie, Wisconsin ace led the first 25 circuits before tire wear helped drop him to a third place podium effort behind only race winner Cole Searing and runner-up Tyler Peterson.  Complete results from the double-dip in the Gopher State can be found online by clicking on
