AUGUST 2, 2026 - - - The #28 team invaded the renowned Cedar Lake Speedway in New Richmond, Wisconsin from July 30-August 1 for the 39th edition of the ‘USA Nationals.’ In World of Outlaws Late Model Series competition, Sam Mars was unfortunately not able to make the start in the pair of feature events. On Thursday in the $10,000 to win weekend opener, Sam finished seventh in his heat race and tenth in his B-Main. With a $100,000 paycheck up for grabs in Saturday’s crown jewel extravaganza, Sam ran fourth in his heat race, fifth in his B-Main, and sixth in the Last Chance Qualifier.
In the trio of local Late Model events held over the hectic weekend, Sam placed tenth in Thursday’s program, eighth in Friday’s show, and eleventh in Saturday’s grand finale. Full results from the entire ‘USA Nationals’ weekend can be viewed online at www.cedarlakespeedway.com.
