SEPTEMBER 28, 2025 - - - Sammy Mars and the Mars Racing team made the trip to ABC Raceway in Ashland, Wisconsin on September 26-27 for the annual running of the ‘Red Clay Classic.’ The WISSOTA Late Model special event drew a 60 car field to the Badger State venue to battle for the $15,000 first place prize money.
Sammy qualified fourth fastest in his group during time trials on Friday night and later advanced to finish third in his heat race behind only winner Ashley Anderson and runner-up Derek Vesel. After rolling off from the inside of the seventh row in Saturday’s 50-lap headliner, Sammy was unfortunately dinged for a caution on a lap 27 restart. The Menomonie, Wisconsin ace then rallied from the back of the pack to salvage a thirteenth place showing in the ‘Red Clay Classic.’ Full results can be found online by clicking on www.abcraceway.com.
