MAY 18, 2025 - - - The Mars Racing team trekked to Eagle Raceway in Eagle, Nebraska from May 15-17 for the ‘High Bank Heist’ weekend. The Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series presided over the tripleheader, which started with a pair of $10,000 to win preliminary showdowns. On Thursday night, Sammy Mars narrowly missed out on the 40-lap feature after placing fifth in his heat race and fourth in his B-Main. In the Cornhusker State on Friday evening, Sammy grabbed the second transfer spot through his heat race, but unfortunately retired early in the 40-lapper and was paid for a twenty-third place showing.
With a whopping $50,000 payday up for grabs in Saturday’s grand finale, Sammy started off his evening by laying down the third quickest time in Group A during the qualifying session. The Menomonie, Wisconsin ace then slipped to finish fifth in his heat race and sixth in his B-Main.
