OCTOBER 5, 2025 - - - The Mars Racing team and driver Sammy Mars dipped south to Fairbury Speedway in downtown Fairbury, Illinois on October 3-4 for the annual running of ‘FALS Frenzy.’ With a $5,000 payday up for grabs in Friday’s weekend opener, Sammy ran sixth in his heat race prior to picking up a victory in his B-Main. The Menomonie, Wisconsin hotshoe then steered his #28 machine past six competitors during the 40-lap affair to nab a solid eleventh place performance.
At the 1/4-mile oval on Saturday evening, a $12,000 winner’s check was on the line for the cars and stars racing with the MARS Late Model Championship Series. Sammy clicked off the seventh quickest lap in his group during the qualifying session prior to grabbing the fourth and final transfer spot through his loaded heat race. He then fought hard for a top ten showing in the 50-lap headliner, but came up a few spots shy in finishing in the thirteenth position.
