JULY 28, 2024 - - - Following an eleventh place performance with the XR Super Series at Davenport Speedway in Davenport, Iowa on Monday, Sammy Mars found himself back in victory lane on Friday, July 26 at Gondik Law Speedway in Superior, Wisconsin! Sammy won his heat race prior to starting the WISSOTA Late Model main event from the inside of the second row. The Menomonie, Wisconsin native then slipped past racelong leader Billy Kendall III on lap 21 and held the point for the remainder of the 30-lapper to claim the $5,000 payday on Meet the Drivers Night. Sammy beat Jeff Provinzino, Billy Kendall III, Travis Budisalovich, and Johnny Broking to the checkers to capture his sixth victory of the 2024 season!
At Rice Lake Speedway in Rice Lake, Wisconsin on Saturday evening, July 27, a $2,000 top prize was up for grabs for the WISSOTA Late Models. Sammy started and finished third in his heat race and later rolled off from the outside of the third row in the 30-lap headliner. He ultimately moved past a trio of competitors during the contest to land on the podium in third behind only victor Chad Mahder and runner-up John Kaanta.
