OCTOBER 12, 2025 - - - The ‘Gopher State Showdown’ was next up on the racing calendar for the #28 team, as they invaded I-94 EMR Speedway in Fergus Falls, Minnesota on October 10-11. The WISSOTA Late Model special shelled out a $3,000 first place prize.
Sammy Mars picked off a trio of competitors during the heat race on Friday to finish in the fifth position. The Menomonie, Wisconsin ace then started Saturday’s 40-lap headliner from the inside of the eighth row. Sammy was able to steer past nine racecars during the contest despite losing power steering near the halfway mark. At the checkers, Sammy was in the sixth spot behind only victor Dustin Strand, Dave Mass, Tyler Peterson, Gunner Frank, and Cole Schill.
