SEPTEMBER 15, 2024 - - - The annual running of the ‘WISSOTA 100’ took place from September 11-14 at I-94 EMR Speedway in Fergus Falls, Minnesota. The action got underway on Wednesday night with a $2,600 to win WISSOTA Challenge Series shootout. Sammy Mars knocked down the second quickest lap in his group during the qualifying session prior to placing second in his heat race. The Menomonie, Wisconsin ace then blasted past seven competitors during the 40-lap main event to nab an impressive runner-up performance behind only winner Shane Sabraski!
By virtue of the second place finish in Wednesday’s opener, Sammy locked himself into the fourth starting spot in Saturday’s $10,000 to win headliner. He ultimately finished right where he started after fifty green flag circuits… in the fourth position behind only victor Shane Sabraski, Mike Greseth, and Ryan Mikkelson.
