JULY 13, 2024 - - - After enjoying the Independence Day holiday weekend away from the racetrack, the Mars Racing team invaded the nearby Red Cedar Speedway in Menomonie, Wisconsin on Friday night, July 12. The annual ‘Duane Mahder Memorial’ was on tap for the WISSOTA Late Models and 25 competitors were on hand to vie for the $5,555 to win program.
Sammy Mars placed second in his heat race and later started the 50-lap main event from the inside of the second row. After running inside of the top three early in the distance, a broken shock mount forced the young Menomonie ace to hold on for a top ten finish. At the checkers, Sammy was credited with a ninth place performance in the ‘Duane Mahder Memorial.’ Complete results from last night can be accessed online by clicking on www.redcedarspeedway.com.
